Our Summer School combines dedicated English tuition, fun activities, excursions, and accommodation.
Our off-season immersion courses for groups offer a variety of interaction with English students and schools.
Our courses are all tailored to meet individual needs. However the following comes as standard.
Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff, combined with our innovative and fun teaching methods ensure that students develop and learn at a pace that suits them in a friendly and welcoming educational environment. All of our teachers are native English speakers and hold a CELTA or equivalent teaching qualification.
At Oxford Spires students will join classes of no more than 15 so that they are given maximum attention and opportunity to participate and enhance their learning. In-class preparation for excursions also takes place to maximise learning outside of the classroom.
Our summer school is situated within Oxford High School which is an internationally renowned establishment with state-of-the-art facilities.
Onsite facilities include modern classrooms, indoor swimming pool, sports hall, drama studio, tennis courts, common lounge areas for students to relax, computer room for internet access under the supervision of staff and a brand new dining hall.
Oxford Spires Language School is accredited by the British Council to ensure we deliver the highest quality in English language training.
Many of the activity camps and activities that Oxford Spires provides, through its sister company Oxford Active, are also accredited by Ofsted. Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills in the UK. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial. Ofsted inspects and regulates services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
Student safety and welfare is a top priority for us. We want to ensure that each student is happy, healthy and safe.
Oxford Spires has a Welfare Officer who will ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. This is a 24 hour service and is also available to nominated family members in case of emergencies.
Very detailed and stringent health and safety checks take place at all of our locations and risk assessments are undertaken for every activity and excursion.
All our staff are qualified to deliver specific aspects of our programmes and undergo staff training and orientation days to ensure all health and safety elements are covered.
